Lech Walesa received a pacemaker
Former Polish President Lech Walesa has suffered Friday at a clinic in Houston surgery to implant him a pacemaker, announced his doctors, "very satisfied" on the outcome of the operation. The former head of state 64-year-old is expected to remain hospitalized a few more days. According to Dr. Guillermo Torre, his cardiologist, the laying of the pacemaker-defibrillator, coupled with a treatment for diabetes, should avoid Mr. Walesa to undergo a heart transplant
