The anxiolytic melatonin?

(1) Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, which allows adaptation to the sleep-wake cycle. This is the first time that a direct effect of melatonin on the anxiety is highlighted. A French team had already shown that melatonin, when administered to rats with anxiolytic drugs, improves efficiency. (2) However, no study has yet been conducted in humans.
